PROJECT RUTH
In October 2014, Jonathan was invited to the Dominican Republic on a vision trip. After that trip, he expanded the CTC Network to include the Dominican Republic.
In March 2015, Jonathan and Shena invited a group from Glad Tidings Tabernacle Key West, Florida, to join them on a mission trip to La Florida, Dominican Republic. Those fortunate enough to accompany them saw the area firsthand, and Project Ruth was birthed. The property was donated by a resident, Ramon A. Ramirez, a property that had been in his family for many generations.
Construction began in May 2015 on a church/community center and medical clinic, the initial construction was completed in August 2015. The ministry continues to add value to the community through a holistic approach in Jesus' Name.
At the core of PR’s approach and principles is to form a partnership with government and Christian community leaders to:
•Reset Getaways for National First Responders and their Spouses. On Reset Ridge in La Florida, San Juan, Dominican Republic we are constructing cottages for our Reset Getaways. Our goal is to launch our reset retreats late 2025.
We will provide counsel for attending First Responders looking for a personal reset.
•Undergird the Educational System. We currently provide:
1. Classroom Space for fifty public school students
2. Starlink Internet for our School and Community Students
3. Backpacks and School Supplies
4. Summer Youth Development Programs
•Teach the Love of Jesus and Social Values. Through our Local Church Ministries and Short-Term Mission Trips. We teach by example. We also provide leadership development for Church and Community leaders.
•Health Care Services. Our partnership with the Government provides the only healthcare services for 4,000 residents in La Florida. We invite medical mission teams to serve alongside us.
Update
An expansion project is nearing completion for a dental wing and short-term living quarters for visiting teams, and modest living quarters to be made available for medical staff. The Medical Clinic is staffed and administrated by the Dominican Government as part of a cooperative effort.
The CTC Network RD is a Dominican registered non-profit organization (The CTC Network DR - RNC - 4-30-30146-9).
From the onset, Project Ruth has worked hand in hand with local and national government officials to address the needs of La Florida.
Project Ruth is a ministry of The CTC Network Dominican Republic and represents Global United Fellowship.
What our partners are saying
"We took a group of Lead Pastors recently and stayed at the Project Ruth. We toured the community and even did some outreach to them with food and other gifts. We loved it! The Project Ruth leadership hosted us well and made us feel like, we would want to return! Great place to serve in missions and contribute to a community of people in need!"
